Has anyone killed with the 6UM and the Barnes 112 match burner?

Probably not a good combo. The Match Burners fragment violently at 2,800fps. I would not count on them doing well at 3,300 fps.

Having said that, I’ll shoot some through mine when it’s finished.

I’ve got everything ready to send to um and get one spun up.
Is the 115 nose ring Dtac N570 combo the one to go after?

For now it is. I will be trying the 103gr ELD-X and 108gr ELD-M heavily, as well as the 100gr PVA Cayuga. My guess is that the best currently available will be the 115gr DTAC NR, and the Hornday 105gr HPBT for most users.

I know you’ve answered this before so forgive the old memory but is the 109 eld-m substantially different than the 108.
I have a bunch and they’ll probably be my fire forming bullets.
at 6cm velocity I can’t tell a difference between the 108 and 109 in deer and cow elk anyway.

For you or anyone else with experience how does the dtac perform in mule deer?

What is your twist going to be and estimated velocity with the 103/108?

I just finished the podcast about the 22 creed and Hornady reps were adamant about keeping rpm’s down to 300,000 or less.

Man I'm super curious what this 6um and a 87gr absolute hammer could come up with as far as MV

Fast. But completely opposite of the purpose. A 22CM with a 77gr LRX will do that.

What exactly is the purpose? Pardon my ignorance, my first thought is always monos since I primarily hunt deer in CA.

Light recoil, great wind and elevation characteristics
Easy to spot impacts and devastating terminal performance. So the opposite of a mono
