How far off the lands do these bullets typically like?
Mine are seated 50 thou off the lands. But I don’t think they are sensitive to seating depth

I'm making 22 Creed out of Hornady 6.5 Creed brass in one pass with One Shot on the cases and graphite in and on the neck.
You’re just banging your head against the wall. The Hornady 80 and 88gr .224 bullets are just that way. If they don’t shoot right off with one or two powders, everything have seen is that they will never consistent in that rifle.
I haven't yet.
After two effed up cases I figure I'd better hold off.
Probably need a bushing die. I've got a 6mm .270 bushing already. Probably be a good winter project. Hoping I figure it out.
I tried one shot and the Hornady case lube that's in a tin.
Maybe I need to trim the brass back to 1.910 before sizing?
My loading skills are definitely good enough to be dangerous but never have tried wildcatting brass down.

Hey guys I’m the new guy here but have been shooting for 50 years.
Recently rebarreled my Tikka 22-250 to 1-8 twist 24” 22 Creed. I loaded up some 85.5 gr Berger’s with 42 gr of RS Grand seated to 2.700” to do the barrel break in. Just wondering what your guys thoughts are on this load for break in.
I’m really hoping after I get the barrel broke in I can get close to 3300 with either Grand or RL26.
Personally, with 22 Creed headstamped brass (Alpha, Peterson, and even Hornady), I wouldn’t spend the time/effort trying to size down 6.5 Creed.
Yes but I forget and the garmin is at home. I’m scouting for elk in the mountains right now and then work travel for the next 10 days. I’ll have an update when I get back sorry. You ever get the velocity on the 69 eld-vt?
I just looked at Hodgdons load data and the 42 gr was a 1/2 grain above the starting load. I haven’t even shot it yet, hopefully next week when it cools off a little. It’s certainly a safe break in load maybe even a tad low. You’re probaly 7-8gr away from pressure. Did you check the velocity?
