The guy is a tool and rage baits for clicks. Watch a video where he actually shoots instead of rage baits. You will see so much done wrong by either him or his friends. His followers eat his drivel with a serving spoon and ask for more. The lack of experience while repeating "fuddlore" is active in the comments. He just can't let the Rokslide 223 77tmk thing go. I think he uses it to get more engagement. 🤦‍♂️

Some bullets probably will in a fresh barrel. I just stick with the 62eld vts for a fast twist creed set up for the heavy’s. In most cases by 300 yards their dropping less then the very light bullets anyway.

Against better judgment I went ahead and rammed a piece of 6.5 into the Hornady 22 die Whoops

I've got an Eric Cortina expander mandrel die for creed/308 I believe. If I remove the expander ball from the Hornady die run the brass through there then through a mandrel die at .222 would that work?

Just trying to find the cheapest way to size down my old 6.5 without having to buy a bushing die.

I just run 1x fired Hornady 6.5 creed brass through a Forster fl die in one pass.

You might try de burring the outside of the case mouth and see if that makes a difference.

Bet that $45 ready to shoot ammo looks pretty good right now... 😆 🤣 Just ordered a case of the 80 ELDM @ $31.75/each plus $15.99 shipping.

I have too many guns to mess with non correct headstamped cases. Even my 6×45 cases get tossed after I use them. I write the proper case on factory loaded ammo on the side in marker and toss it after firing it. Not worth having a mix up since no one current offers headstamped 6x45 cases.

Caribou felt all the “wallop” at 500 yards. No drama, no tracking.

80gr ELDMs. 3” entry size wounds one ruined most of the neck meat; on the other it ruined most of the front shoulders (additional high lung shot left little evidence of lungs).

Question (or point me to an existing thread) - what are the paths to build a 22 CM with existing Tikka actions/barrels?
The easy/cheapest button is find a 22-250 8 twist tikka and have a gunsmith pull the tube to rechamber and cut to whatever length you want. If you already have an existing tikka - needs to be a standard bolt face (6.5 creed, 308, etc.) then find a prefit barrel - couple different options on here for guys selling them, or have a gunsmith chamber a blank. Depending on if you already have one, what it is chambered in could require a mag swap or bolt stop change.

I have a lefty tikka 65CM already, but I think I want to build one in righty for my kids to use for deer. Sounds like I'll just need to sell that rifle outright and keep eyes on a RH 65cm or 308 then.

Yep. Then find a pre-fit or a gunsmith to chamber a blank. Or do the 22-250 8 twist route. Saves a little coin.
