With a self imposed 500 yard limit, which I also place on myself, you owe it to yourself to try a dasher!
Now that I am reloading it is on the short list for the 6mm minimum states!

Less recoil than a 22 creed, similar to same wind number, stupid easy to load, inherently extremely accurate and consistent, more money saved per bang in both component and barrel life costs. In elk country I’m looking at over 2000fps over 500 yards. Spotting shots with it to those ranges is only bested by 223.Now that I am reloading it is on the short list for the 6mm minimum states!
Sorry if I missed it, what bullet are you loading? Same bullet for practice and hunting?Less recoil than a 22 creed, similar to same wind number, stupid easy to load, inherently extremely accurate and consistent, more money saved per bang in both component and barrel life costs. If I could shoot it for nrl hunter I wouldn’t own anything else.
Just make sure to get an alpha chamber, alpha brass and alpha die.
108 eldm. I do have some 105 aeromatch I used for break in that shot awesome too. Plan on 80eldvt or 87vmax for prairie dog and predators.Sorry if I missed it, what bullet are you loading? Same bullet for practice and hunting?

YesAre you talking about a 6 Dasher?
31 grains of varget and a 108eldWhat’s your load data on a Dasher?
What's your velocity?31 grains of varget and a 108eld
2730 on virgin brass. 21” barrelWhat's your velocity?

Can anyone post a dope card for a 77 TMK doing about 3k?
Trying to compare it to the 80 grain Hornady.
Don't think there's a TMK bullet in 4Dof. Tried entering it manually in there and Shooter.
Just seems to be a pretty significant difference between the two. I know the Hornady has better BC.
Just bored at work lol. Got off social media so the only thing I've got is this and ballistics lol I'm going to have to order one or the other.
Did I understand the Sierra has a lower operating window than 1800?

Dang! Congrats.Bighorn sheep. 88 eldm going 3K at the muzzle. 260 yard shot. Friend was videoing so i could time it later, but 6 seconds from first shot to death. This is the entrance wound. Of the shoulder shot. First shot i put behind the shoulder which had about a 3-4” exit. Because the recoil is so low and I’m used to shooting fast I put a second shot in him. Bullet definitely expanded quicker on the shoulder shot but still made it to the offside shoulder. Happy with performance. View attachment 931201
Than the 77 TMK? Absolutely.Perfect my math was mathing then.
So the 80 grainer will maintain 1800 further out.

What do you mean by less violent? In general, the Xs create a more lemon or football shaped wound versus the Ms with a much more round wound and in some cases a more narrow wound (they can be more inconsistent depending on the medium they hit).Is the 80 grain ELDX less violent than the 80 grain ELDM? I shot 3 whitetail does today with my 22CM using the 80 ELDM @ 3140 fps with head/neck shots from 120 yards to 210 yards on a damage hunt. That little bullet damn near decapitated those 3 deer! Saves all the meat but makes it difficult to drag them out of the field. Might have to go with a bigger slower bullet next time...
This dang gun is a laser beam.

I was teasing. Anything hitting bone (neck/spine) at +2800 fps impact velocity is going to be violent. The 80 ELDM did just what I hoped they would, laser beam trajectory to ~250 yards and easy to remain on target after firing. I've got around 60 rounds down the barrel so far and I'm extremely happy with my $600 Ruger American 22CM. Once I have 100 rounds through the pipe, I'll check my velocity again and see if the 80 ELDX ammo has sped up and how the groups compair to when it was brand new. What do you mean by less violent? The X wound channels generally are more like TMK wounds versus ELDM wounds.
I agree In high velocity impacts. But what about down at lower 1800 limit? Wouldn’t the m be more likely to fragment and the x hold together and pencil? What do you mean by less violent?
