After mulling it over for a while, I picked up a Proof pre-fit for my Terminus Zeus QC. In the end, it was cheaper than buying a Tikka, and rechambering, chopping, and threading.

Looking forward to spinning this on my action soon.

For those of you shooting factory 80 grain ammo in a 7 twist barrel, have you had any issues with accuracy vs the 77 TMK or 88 ELDM? Thanks.

My PBB 22 creed barrel showed up 10 weeks after ordering. Lead time was projected at 10-12 weeks.

16", .120 FB, 1:7tw, 1/2x28 threads. 1lb 14oz.

It replaced a 243 barrel on a T3X. The action is about a year old. Removal sucked but I expected it. I couldn't get my barrel wrench to grab the barrel. Tried leather, rubber, etc. In the end it took a pipe wrench with a 3' cheater bar, a big steel hammer and 2 guys to turn the barrel threads. No corrosion once removed, just something that appeared to be thread sealant or anti-sieze. Absolutely ridiculous how tight it was. Scrapped the 243 barrel but that's fine.

Started with Alpha LRP brass, CCI 200 primer, 88 ELDMs and H4350. Worked from 38-40.5 without any bolt lift or ejector marks, primers were flatter as I increased. I settled on 39.5.
COL 2.716, 2.146 ogive.

First 10 round group was 1.18" at 100, 2862 fps average.

I switched to 4831sc. Was running out of case capacity at 43 grains and still 100fps slower so I parked that powder. Primers indicated less pressure than the H4350. Accuracy didn't seem significantly better in the 5 increasing loads I shot.

I also bought a box of Hornady Precision Hunter 80 eldx for science. I shot a 5 round group that was very close to the 88 eldm reloads. I didn't measure it on the target, just inspected through my scope. Average velocity was 2866.

I loaded 50 of 39.5 H4350 for now. Should have those burned up in the next week or 2.

Follow up on this initial post. I'm on my second firing of the brass with 120ish rounds through the barrel. Velocity has increased from 2862 to 2945. The most recent 10 shot group was still just over an inch, so no change from initial group.

I made 22 creedmoor brass out of 6.5 creedmoor brass by going directly into a 22 creed sizing die.

I loaded some of this brass last night.

I'm still happy with the results.

These are 88gr ELDM loaded to 2.650" OAL in the bootleg 22CM cases created by resizing and trimming (some, not all!) 6.5CM cases.

325yards 18” bbl 90gr pointed SMK with the hollow pointed opened to .030” at 3100fps
Impact velocity 2537fps

My barrel through round count has lost 100fps but I’ve found with Ramshot grand in an 18” I can run 90s at 3200 and 80elds at 3300. At 20-50* in Hornady brass the primer is still round. I noticed at around 70* the primers start to flatten.

Saw a sal with 15piglets moving on a trail at about 700 yards away slightly headed my way. I hunched over on a boulder using my bipod and started to get on them. They were going through light brush and never stopped. They ended up coming closer to me but never stopped moving. I saw they were about to hit a thick mesquite patch. So very quickly I set up on a window in the brush were I knew I’d have a clear shot about 10yards before the thick stuff. Guessed it was 300yds and dialed 3moa up. Right as I did the sal hit the window on the trot. I put it on her head for my lead and squeezed the trigger. After impact watched her go 10yards and drop. She was about 150lbs. Bullet hit rib bone on the way in had good expansion in both lungs, clipped the heart pretty good, and turned the liver to jelly. Hit rib on the offside and bullet stuck into the offside shoulder. I had the scope set on 4X.
