I shot one with the 6 creed and a 80 eldvt right before this one and that 80 grainer didn’t even leave a blood spot. I’ll be playing musical guns between the 6 and 22 creed this winter. Planning on sticking with the Eld-VTs exclusively.

That’s interesting the 80 behaved differently

Well not really a big ask in the 22cm
But data is data

62gr eld-vt
47.2 gr N555
Peterson LRP
Fed 210m
24” preferred barrel 1:8 twist
20 shots averaged 3820fps.
It’s 1 mil flatter and same wind hold as 80 eld-m at 750.
It was about 50* this morning
If I was hunting a lot of coyotes this would be my main bullet/combo

I’m curious how those bullets do on coyotes at those speeds? I’ve heard from a few guys that at certain speeds the eldvt are very splashy on coyotes and guys were having problems with coyotes getting up and running off

i think we need a 90 grain nose ring SMK. i believe the jackets are thicker than the 95's. should hold up to creed velocities. just a guess though

I Doubt they hold up at all but hard to believe they won’t do enough damage to kill a coyote. They might not be ideal if that’s the case

Basically same BC as 80 gr ELDm. Seems like a hard option to get excited about?

i might be looking at it wrong but the G1 looks like .563 on the sierra vs .485 on the ELDM. IF it acted like the 115 Dtac it seems awesome to me

Should be similar to other varmint bullets which gives you the same results in certain circumstances. Will knock them down but they have tiny vitals, so poor shots will give you runners - they are also tiny targets.

Most shots on coyotes that have been called in are quartering to or away not perfectly broadside. This is where the “splashy” comments come from. There are better penetrating bullets out there for these types of shots, but you just need to be ready for follow ups on runners or spinners.
