So I bought an IBEX back in october 2023 - listed as a $5249 bike and my experience with the brand is worth sharing.

I have always relied on rokslide reviews and trust the content of my fellow Roksliders in determining Potential purchases. I thought it was about time to pay it back.

From the beginning, the ibex bike was beyond unreliable. I will attach all of the repair parts that I’ve had to order over the past couple years To include

kickstand

battery release latch 3 different times

right pedal

left and right crankarm

front axle

2 different chains

new free hub

new display bolts

New chain keeper

New rear cassette

New shifting cable

New rear brake

New front disc brake

I took the bike in a couple months ago for a full tune up only to have the technician tell me that the bike was manufactured without the sensor that disengages the motor while shifting. I reached out to quietkat and was told bc the bike is outside of the year warranty they won’t even install the omitted sensor. Basically the bike was manufactured and QC missed the sensor that tells the motor to momentarily stop while shifting gears. Some of the issues that I had to order replacement parts for were definitely attributed to this, but there were plenty more that were not.

Overall, my intent here is to alert potential QuietKat E bike buyers, specifically new bike buyers, that I would 100% stay away from this company. The customer service is not easy to deal with, they charged me for most of the replacement parts and refused to accept responsibility for a bike that was missing a major component. Overall 10 out of 10 dissatisfied. Stay away!

Ps - I am by no means a technical or aggressive mountain bike rider. Most of the riding was done on fairly well groomed trails, and I definitely did not abuse the bike on super rough terrain – more because of my ability, but later because I know this thing would fall apart!

Ouch! Thanks for the heads up. Makes me more incline to just purchase a $3-400 amazon ebike knowing I could just replace it every few years and still come out ahead.

Most my riding would be a pretty smooth trails.

I’ve been around them a little and thought they looked like compete junk. Actually have thought that for most of these new hunting /outdoor brand e bikes

If I was buying an ebike i’d only look at them from established mtn bike companies

I believe they are just rebranded china bikes anyways.
