Any pictures of the lost front shoulders? I think we all need to see this.
No, I’m not good at taking pictures when I’m cutting solo. There are a few pictures in this thread of some serious 77tmk destruction though. Got a lot of 77tmk at my disposal and think it’s thee bullet for 223.

As I said I’ll be using the 80eldx this year. It does seem like a little harder bullet so far.

Where did you get the 4831 data? I’ll have to look again but I saw somewhere that 45 gr of 4831sc was max load. Seems like most guys are well below that though

Hodgdon. Here’s the 77 TMK data with H4831.

Just finished shooting a little this morning with a new 22 Creed build. So far it is looking promising, but I only have 20 rounds down the barrel. 20" Bartlein barrel on a tikka action and I am averaging close to 3100 with factory 80 grain ELDX. One 5 shot group.

What twist on the bartlein?

After about 10-15 shots I was getting some pressure signs. I am planning on shooting more tomorrow and see how it does.

Shot another 20 rounds today. Same lot of ammo and similar velocities but no pressure signs. This may be the most accurate rifle I have owned. Pretty excited to put some animals down.

Gave 4831 sc a shot today with the 77tmk, new alpha brass, fed 210. Have a 22 inch PBB 7.5 twist.

This is my wife’s gun so she did the shooting with it today (except for the 45 grain charge below).

First charge was 41 grains and it was slow! Got 2985fps average out of it. Ext spreads were in the 60 fps range. About 2.5 inch group. Worked up to 45grain before I found pressure and that produced 3228fps and 50 fps ext spread. The 45 grain charge grouped about 1.2 for 10 shots.

41 grains of H4350 did the best so far. Got 3247fps with around 25fps of extreme spread. The group was good at an inch. I want to say she pulled the couple shots to the right but she felt good about them. She let the rounds cook in the chamber a little longer than I would have liked but no pressure signs.

The barrel has 70 total rounds on it so far and hasn’t really showed any signs of speeding up from the last load of 41 grains h4350 that I shot.

I wouldn’t worry too much about es or sd until the barrel is fully broken in.

Yeah that doesn’t bother me but thought I’d throw it out there because it’s so readily available on the Garmin.

I was surprised the 4831 was so much slower for me. It definitely has a better case fill. In this case, I’m really surprised that I was able to get up to 45 grains. Definitely not going to stay there and will work up again when the barrels broken in. Just testing at this point.

My first 22cm I ran 45.2gr rl23 with 77s in a 22" barrel, was slightly compressed, but man it was fast at 3450fps and shot well. Slightly less N555 did the same velocity those two powders are actually pretty close in performance to where speed/pressure signs come on.

I'm new to the reloading scene and just picked up a really good deal on a PBB 18" 3R 1:12 CF varmaint barreled to a Mesa Summit Ti. Does anyone have experience slinging 55-69gr out of a 1:12?

Alright folks, I am pulling together my components now as my first barrel should be done in a month or two.

So, Peterson or Alpha? I am pretty convinced I am going to go LRP brass, but I could be persuaded into SRP if there is a good case to be made for it.
