I've shot the wolfhunter and scythe w/223 end cap side by side. The wolfhunter on a 22-250 was noticeably quieter than the scythe on a 223.Wow those look great, especially the further jumps. Wolfhunter pretty quiet on the 22 CM?
I ordered a .223 end cap for my Scythe to use on the 22 CM & 223, but would consider a Wolfhunter if there is as a significant difference. I’m pretty sure the Scythe will be perfectly adequate though.

Please report back on brass life after you've got a few loads in them. Hornady shows a max load of 37.7gr H4350 for their 80gr bullets, so your load seems pretty spicy.Throwing in my shorty 22 creed info here. ONLY ABOUT 75 rounds through the rifle so far, with a very light load this far from my findings on brass.
16” CF barrel
88grain ELDM
Hornady brass
41 grains H4350
3025FPS definitely think I can get close to 3100 FPS with little issue
Not really, 37.7 gr of h4350 in a creedmoor case is pretty mild on case fill. Please report back on brass life after you've got a few loads in them. Hornady shows a max load of 37.7gr H4350 for their 80gr bullets, so your load seems pretty spicy.
I'm operating under the assumption that Hornady's max load is at or near 62k PSI. +10% bullet weight and another ~10% more charge is really going to move those numbers. Not really, 37.7 gr of h4350 in a creedmoor case is pretty mild on case fill.
Sure,I doubt the guy you quoted has the same chamber specs as the hornady test barrel they used to generate that data.I'm operating under the assumption that Hornady's max load is at or near 62k PSI. +10% bullet weight and another ~10% more charge is really going to move those numbers.

Do you handload for any creedmoor cartridges using H4350?

Curious, are 77 grain bullets considered on the heavy side for 4350?Bore size plays a role. H4350 is too hot for heavy 22 cm imo. Even 6 creed I have needed to move to a slower powder.
Great in the 6.5 though
I doCurious, are 77 grain bullets considered on the heavy side for 4350?
Gotcha. I got a fairly new barrel to break in and have a couple loads charged up of 4350 and 4831. All with the 77 tmk so that’s why I was asking.I do
I was enough on the ragged edge of pressure with h4350 that I would get pressure signs with any moisture or heat. With 77s, 80s and 88s
H4831sc left me with higher case fill, and was insensitive enough that I could get the barrel hot and deal with some moisture. I just had my barrel scorching shooting pdogs with zero pressure in 90*. Even 39 grains of h4350 in that load was showing pressure with any heat.
Lots of guys have luck with h4350 though. Maybe mine is a fast lot, but we have a few options putting out load data now and they all show h4350 pressuring out pretty quickly.
As I said I had to back down on a 6 creed after a number of rounds with h4350. Just too fast imo. Makes the load less flexible and more troublesome in field conditions.
Yes I like it. Burns a little slower than h4350, gave me more fps without pressure.Anyone load using N555 powder in the 22 creedmoor?

42 grains of h4831sc with a 77 tmk made 3000 fps for me in a 16” rifle, with Peterson brass. Shot very well and wasn’t hard on brass.Gotcha. I got a fairly new barrel to break in and have a couple loads charged up of 4350 and 4831. All with the 77 tmk so that’s why I was asking.
Any pictures of the lost front shoulders? I think we all need to see this.42 grains of h4831sc with a 77 tmk made 3000 fps for me in a 16” rifle, with Peterson brass. Shot very well and wasn’t hard on brass.
Tmk at 22 creed speed, close range are destructive! Not using them because last year I lost front shoulders even when the shot was not on the shoulder.
Where did you get the 4831 data? I’ll have to look again but I saw somewhere that 45 gr of 4831sc was max load. Seems like most guys are well below that though42 grains of h4831sc with a 77 tmk made 3000 fps for me in a 16” rifle, with Peterson brass. Shot very well and wasn’t hard on brass.
