Cleaned prior to antelope hunt. Going to use the Magnus…. Sounds and feels way better with it on. Otherwise same setup as the OP.

80eldx, went out to confirm 10 round zero.
2945 average with 80eldx.
400 rounds on the rifle at this point.

Finally jumped and ordered a PVA 22 inch tube and had a local smith ream it. It was my wife’s Sigcross 6.5 creed. Hoping to shoot 62 vts for coyotes and 77 TMKs for everything else.

Threw a slow twist 22” barrel on a Tikka I wasn’t using. I got hard bolt lift earlier than I expected. Overall it shot well but it’s slow. Suppressed it with a 338 Ultra.

3600 FPS.

New brass? Alpha ocd is kinda funky. To lean on it, you have to get a few firings on it with just a neck size and bump, or have a loose fitting die. The bottom side their brass is so tough it don't like to grip the chamber until it grows a bit. I had issues with some their brass until I figured that out.

Yes new Alpha brass. I will look into ordering a neck sizing die. Hopefully that will help. Thanks

The Forster bushing bump die is what I've used for 3 firings before swapping to a FL bushing die.

I don’t see a 22 Creed. So I’m assuming you used a 6/6.5 Creed die with .22 cal bushing?

Yessir 6cm with 252 bushing.

As noted above, alpha is goofy. Very consistent brass and it works well, but the web area is so hard it takes a couple firings to expand. Iv seen the same thing with 22 creed and 6 creed now.

I’d also try h4350. Should be easier on brass. My plan is after hunting season to try a 62eld vt load with h4350.

I have a Magnus and love it. Badass suppressor Suppresses very nice

Very happy. Used it for a season of prs this year.

On the 22 creed it has less recoil than my ultra 7 and is adequately quiet on a 16” barrel. The u7 on a 16” barrel was a little loud.

I’d buy another.

Mine has 950 round on it & never had a patch in it. Still shoots great. It will get a new barrel after the season
