2001 Silverado knocking on 300k

It’s been a very abused truck and never maintained. Trans just gave in at 292k, other then that water pump and alternator is all that’s been replaced

Fully Synthetic is 10k changes. That's one reason I use it. I've changed my oil every 10k and no problems at all in 3 vehicles so far. For my wife's car that's 1x/year. For my Silverado, that's 3x/year.

Anything Ford made with the 4.6 or, V10 are capable of insanely high milage. I've seen several v10s with over 500k miles.
