I’m looking to pick up a couple new hunting scopes for my 6CM and my 6.5 PRC. I’m going back and forth between the tenmile and the NXS. Anyone used both that can share their experience with them?

Do you hold wind?
If so do you want to do that only on 10, 15 or 22 or would like the ability to make a wind hold at any magnification?

The big differences, as amassi pointed out, are that ffp nxs scopes are extremely rare, and mils are only offered in the nxs 2.5-10, unless you luck into a used nxs f1 mil, one or two a year end up in the various classifieds.

If you need a scope soon, and want ffp/mils, its the tenmile all the way

I have both scopes. I have two 5-25x50 tenmiles and a 5.5-22x56 NXS. I also have a 4-32 NX8 and 2.5-15x42 credo. I would say I like them equally well. The trijicons will all be lighter than the nightforce, and I prefer the reticles on the trijicons. The nightforces are tanks. I can’t stand FFP scopes, so all mine are SFP.

I couldn’t zero my Tenmile with a 20moa rail and Hawkins low rings due to not enough traveling down in elevation, put the 2.5-10 nxs back in the 7RM. Tenmile 60moa of travel
NXS- is 100Moa of travel.

Do you have that 20 moa rail on backwards? Show us a picture.

That doesn’t make any sense.

My Tenmile is bottomed out and shooting 3” high at 100. There is enough below center of travel on an NX8 and NXS that it doesn't cause an issue on the Tenmile it does.
Yes the MOA rail is on correct and yes the zero stop is off,

I have the hawkins 25 moa rings with a tenmile and zero issue 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have the NXS 2.5-10 and Tenmile HX 3-18. Both SFP. Both have good eye relief and dial reliably. Both were used for deer and elk this year from 70yds to 550yds. They’re both very good scopes.

You were able to zero that without issue? I was looking at this setup. Is it the 3-18 model Tenmile, and if so, how much available elevation (with the dial) do you have with that combo?

Wow that’s wild.

No issue at all. No idea how much total elevation is available, but I shoot it out to 1250 yards without issue.
