Is this outdoor lifes scoring criteria or tenants that they very misleadingly put in an email with no claim that it's theirs but not found in the actual articles? I'm asking a question on my original post because I'm not a thousand percent sure. But Im certain you're at least some degree wrong in your response.
Man it’s coming. I don’t want to say an exact date. Best way to stay informed is get on that email list.
I will likely be working for Tenet in the very near future. I was a skeptic and when I got my hands on the product I was so impressed I asked for a jobDo you work for Tenet? You posted an extremely long response referring to the “team at Tenet” but then used “we” here as if you are speaking on their behalf officially.
I don’t necessarily care either way I just think it’s something you should be clear about if you are speaking for yourself or for the company.
That's a bs answer. They came up with their own criteria that heavily weights the features of their products in a deceptive way. That is a combined score of all things tested. The OL article published the quietest, lightest, most recoil reduction, etc. but when you tallied up all the things measured from their raw data that is available to the public that is how the cookie crumbled. Weight, length, sound reduction, recoil reduction.
You can do the math for yourself with the readily available data that was collected and published by OL.

I'm not trying to attack their product. It seems like they've got some really good ideas working for them. I just hate how manipulative some of it came across. Especially considering outdoor life warning about manufacturers doing that. Only to then send out that information in a way where a normal person would interpret it as outdoor life's conclusion.I found the Tenet total score data to be consistent with their stated original product design goals & product advertising. Interesting comparative data showing the benefits of a product.
Nothing wrong with advertising.
Other manufacturers have the same opportunities.
Thanks for speaking out. Shady advertising doesn't sit well with me at all, regardless of how nice the product is. Seems like a completely different angle than some other new suppressor companies have taken.I'm not trying to attack their product. It seems like they've got some really good ideas working for them. I almost feel bad for the average guy who looks at this test and ordered a braked can without understanding things like muzzle db readings vs shooters ear and is surprised at how loud the cans will be at the ear when the test showed they were the most “quiet” looks like it does great on recoil reduction but every other criteria as you stated there are much better cans.I have been hearing some pretty disappointing things about the outdoor life testing. Did tenet really take and use different guns (potentially ammo) and come up with their own scoring criteria outside what outdoor life was doing? Sounds like they totally hijacked the test and manipulated the data to win everything. Or at least say they won everything in emails they sent out.
We started shipping first week of June. We apologize for the miscommunication.
That said we ramping up big time and working as hard as we can to get everyone’s products out the door to them.
As far as communication goes, we are actively sending and replying to emails as we receive them. The only place we have fallen silent is here because of the aforementioned reasons.
We do truly appreciate your support and your patience.
I don't think "staying silent" is an appropriate description. They were told that they were not allowed to use this forum for commerical purposes so they are complying with that direction. I hope they will consider becoming a sponsor so they can be an active participant on this forum, but they likely have a lot of costs they are juggling right now as a startup company so I understand they may have chosen to divert their funds elsewhere, like delivering product in a timely manner. Thanks for speaking out. Staying silent because you're not a paid sponsor? Seems like in their best interests to just become a paid sponsor to put out some fires.
And now the current voice answering questions is someone that seems very motivated to back up the "team" but we don't know what their status is? Weird.
Hopefully some suppressors hit RS customers soon so we can clear the air on all of this.
