I’ll try to make this as nonpartisan as possible.

The race for new Senate Majority Leader is going on right now. The three men currently in the running are John Thune (SD), John Cornyn (TX), and Rick Scott (FL).

With a Republican president (not super pro-2A, but better than the other side), Republican controlled senate, and what looking to be a Republican house, this may be the best chance we have for getting suppressors removed from the NFA.

However, John Cornyn is about as anti-2A as Republicans get. If he is the Senate Majority leader, he could keep a bill like the Hearing Protection Act from ever getting voted on.

The best thing we can do to keep this from happening is call our senators (they’ll be in their state offices not in DC) and tell them not to support him.

Rick Scott supports and enacted Red Flag laws too, so keep that in mind as well.

Didn’t he lead a company that was fined $1.7B for fraud, too?
yes, he was CEO and they defrauded medicare etc.

Entirely opinion - Thune, being from SD, is likely most sympathetic to the western hunter of the three.

He's been Chief Deputy Whip and lead policy committees, so some relative experience. An empty suit wouldn't have weathered opposing Trump on the 2020 election claims, has stood pretty tall on 2A stuff.

Haven't looked into any of their backgrounds on public land use or states demanding control of federal lands.

Wake up. Trump dictates that.

Not at all. This is very much an attempt by McConnel to slow the Trump agenda down. A vote by secret ballot, extremely quickly, behind closed doors. 3 choices, only one of which is even remotely in alignment with Trumps policies. McConnell is RINO swamp as it gets. He stands to loose a great deal personally by Trump policy. Just do a little looking into his ties to China…

You can call him whatever you’d like. But his policy record is not in alignment with Trump on virtually every issue. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

Here’s an article found from one quick google search.

Here’s a podcast covering a range of issues related to Trump policy and opposition from within the Republican Party, and how they worked against him during his first presidency
