I am ordering a new BG Pure 75 Gold in a 5 pin model. In other 5 pin sliders I have used, I have always gone with the top three pins in .019" and the bottom two in .010" (or the equivalent for a CBE).

While I have liked this set up, I am wondering what size pins others are using. I know CBE doesn't flare their pin ends, so if you are using a CBE, please make that clear.

I use all green .019's on my 7 pin site, and paint the 40 and 60 yard pin bodies white for identification.

CBE 5 pin top two are .029 bottom three are .019

That sight replaced an Armortech 7 pin. I originally ordered that with top 5 pins in .019 and bottom two in .010. I sent it in and had the bottom two changed to .019. I couldn't see the small pins in sunlight.

How do all you guys like your .010 pins in low light?

On my main bow I'm shooting a SH with .019's. But with a new bow on the way, I'll be getting another sight and I may try the .010 on the bottom three.

The .010" are great, especially for the lower pins. Most last minute shots in very low light are going to be with the top pin or top two pins only, and the .019 definitely are brighter than .010. They carry light very well, especially in BGs and Spot Hoggs. With CBE they do not flare their pin endings, so you have to order one size greater to make them equal; in other words a .019 CBE =.010 other sights.

I have played with all sizes. I find that for all of my set ups .019s work the best for all around. .010s were just too small. I understand that they take up less of the target... but in all practicality i couldn't justify the poor low light gathering. Just me though

these pins are bright...... i would go top .19 the rest .10. all depends on your eyes. my combo is red(20).19, green(30).19, yellow(40).19, red(50).10, green(60).10 witch is also my floater for the dial of death........... ended up buying .10's to replace my 30 and 40 yard pins but waiting till end of season. been running a MBG for 3 years done sold on these, good stuff.........

Thanks. My problem is I have a slight astigmatism in my shooting eye. Not enough to wear glasses, but enough that a pin kinda blurs some, and the .019 blur enough at 50 yards that it's hard to see around it. May give the .010 a shot on the bottom pins.
