Beautiful. Did you use a uni-throater? I’m going to try the same, except for the 88 ELDs on a 7 twist barrel.

Have yet to shoot the 80s yet, so we’ll see. I know what velocity bracket I’ll be in though from other loads I’ve run. Should be 2900 - 3000. The 80 ELD-M box says 7 twist, but the website says 8 twist. Anyone know what stability number is safe? Is it anything over 1?

Do you know about the spring question? Do the ascension mags need a spring from specifcally a 4rd 223 mag or do springs out of the various 3rd mags work?

I used the spring out of the mag that came with my compact 223. Couldn’t tell you if it was 3 or 4 rounds tho. Either should work

I got this from another forum years ago.



80 gr in a 1-8” is on the edge, might not be suitable for long range. Stability decreases with velocity loss.
