Telepathy - truth or science fiction?

I’ve never thought that telepathy was possible. I’ve always felt like it’s science fiction. I think I may have been wrong.

There was a podcast series released in September about a neuroscientist that’s trying to bring awareness to her research on mostly kids. They have always been diagnosed as autistic.

I’m one episode in with my mind completely blown away. Completely. Blown. Away.

I’m three episodes in and the tests she does are pretty definitive. You’re basically listening to the tests as they are done. She videos all of the tests and I believe is trying to secure funding to do a documentary.


As far as the Dr. goes I will reserve my judgment and focus on the work done. It wasn’t too long ago that Dr’s were censured, deplatformed from the internet, and had licenses revoked/suspended for speaking out against an experimental and biological weapon. One “came from a bat in a wet market” and the other was forced on the global public.

There are still “conspiracy theory” hit pieces published by gotcha journalists in failed attempts to discredit and smear the truth.

Wasn’t taken as an offense. Was lost bc I wasn’t aware that he mentioned anything about it on his podcast. lol

Usually, peer reviewed articles/publications from the past can help with this. Due diligence is a personal choice.

I'm always skeptical of someone who has a theory and sets out to prove it.
Just look at all the drug trials where placebo's have pretty darn good success.

True scientific method doesn't set out to prove a theory. It's too easy to see things that correspond to your thesis and claim they are related.

Hack science has blossomed in the internet age where we are getting battered by folks selling us stuff or other agendas.......just look at Covid.

So, what you’re saying is that a neuropsychiatrists that is doing a documentary on what she’s researching based on parents/family/teacher testimonials is bs?

If you listen to just the first episode you’ll learn that she is only doing the research bc parents/educators/teachers are contacting her. These are their stories that she documents and then conducts multiple tests. Easy tests like show the parent a random card or picture or number picked by number generator and the non verbal autistic child types out what was shown within seconds while facing the opposite direction AFTER taking a blind fold off. And not just once. But over, and over, and over with 100% success.

I won’t get into peer reviewed articles/publications. Let’s just say that grant money can be a power influencer. That’s a FACT.

TL;DR is that "spelling", the method of communication, is highly controversial and has been found to be easily influenced in a number of ways by the interpreter working with the person in question.

"The Telepathy Tapes" is a very well-produced podcast. But even the top expert it relies on has her doubts.

Exactly why I will listen to the podcast and judge for myself. But it’s pretty amazing hearing what these autistic kids have to say about their abilities.

Great post. To get around this, children spell out on a free standing chart with letters cut out by pointing to the letters. Others (on their own) spell out using tablets by typing.

All I’m suggesting is have an open mind and listen to the podcasts. I don’t think it’s fair to the children nor the families to instantly discredit them without hearing their stories and seeing for yourself. And not just the direct families but teachers with 20 years of experience teaching special needs children.

My middle daughter and I have always had this kind of connection since she was little. We always seem to know exactly what the other is thinking. There are times when I'm thinking about texting her or calling and I'll get a text from her that says "you rang" with a big smiley emoji. Hard to explain it, but it happens.
