Current deer hunting stable: Tikka CTR 308 and Tikka UPR 6.5 CM (at Bug Holes for Bartlein barrel)

Looking at Bergara Sierra Wilderness in 6.5 PRC or 6mm CM. I'm going to play Bergara roulette cause the barrel length, diameter and stock check a lot of boxes.

Deer hunting to 600 yards: 6.5 PRC or 6mm CM 20" barrel suppressed?

You already have a 6 ARC and 6.5 Creedmoor so the cartridges you are looking at are the "magnum" versions of each. Unless you are going to run the heaviest for caliber bullets in each of them, you are just gaining more recoil in the same bullet caliber. What are you trying to accomplish with the new gun? If it is just to get a new gun, either cartridge is a good option.

I'm afflicted with "newgunitis".

I'm an addict also. I have one or three rifles in all 5 cartridges mentioned in this thread... I like both choices. I'm not a Bergara fan because of some fit and finish issues I've seen. I had a well know gunsmith tell me not to get one unless it was the Premier line. I have moved on from seeing them as an option for my needs.

I've considered a Tikka 243 1:8 twist as well. At the price point I am willing to spend, I would need to have it threaded, which my smith charges $150.

I could just get a Stocky's VG stock for my Mini 6 ARC. That will give it a new gun vibe. It certainly was effective deer hunting last year.
