Apparently the Federal Government did not steal enough from me throughout the year, since I owe 188.00 bucks.

I love footing the bill for all the welfare trash, financial aid to countries that despise us, ect, ect,

Doesn't it make you sick! Im not sure how I will do I am getting mine done today.

New (used) vehicle downpayment. Tired of pouring money into the 2007 Jeep Patriot. Now it's the Electronic Throttle Control, which is apparently faulty on this vehicle and the Compass. Thanks Chrysler!

I've owed for years. I'll owe again this year. Didn't file for three years waited for them to send me a letter and then set up the lowest monthly payments I can get out of them. I'll owe till I die and claim as high as I can to give them as little As possible. The IRS and the United states government is no different than any other organized crime agency out there.

Reminds me of the line from the godfather when Anthony compares the family to the government and his wife says " but the government doesn't have people killed" his reply is classic " who's being nieve now kate?" Bengahzee ring a bell? I'd say there worse than organized crime because they do it in front of our faces, force us to participate in our own fleecing and then expect us to be completely subservient or else. At least the mafia tried to hide there crimes

I don't. And I won't. Hell county doesn't even plow my road. I'm all for abolishing 95% of the "civilian " side of our government and taking care of ourselves. We're so far away from how our system was originally designed it's not even the same country. And as far as the theme of this thread, taxes, we went to war with England to what equates in inflation adjusted dollars today to 1300 in taxes a year. I paid almost that much on my last two week check and they still tell me I owe. Yeah tell me there not criminals

Keep that in mind next time you are driving down the interstate, sending your kids to school on the bus, etc...

Cheating your way out of taxes isn't something I'd personally brag about online but to each his own. I take more pride in my country than that regardless how much I differ with the direction of our government currently...

We went to war over taxation without representation, not because of a dollar amount.

We have representation now, it's just guys like me and you don't necessarily agree with our representation. Apples to Oranges.

Gas, sales, property taxes (<biggest bull ever), school taxes, ect, ect, pay for those things. The income tax is moronic at best. The Federal Government believes they have a right to what you make simply because you make it. Bull. I would venture to guess if all the excess was cut in D.C. we could do away with the income tax and still have tax revenue left over, but that wont happen, because the career politicians are career politicians because of the pork they bring back to their "constituents" and their "donors" (ie bribery, lobbying, and laundering).

We are in agreement that it could be operated much leaner/more efficiently. I just find the attitude that no government being the best government is naive at best. BUT, on that note this is getting waaaaay off topic so I am bowing out. Agree to disagree fellas.

As for my tax return, this will be my first year ever not paying in at this time several thousand (perks of being a former independent business owner lol). Realize it was my money in the first place, but it will be refreshing getting a few hundred back instead this year. I plan to use mine on a set of Lowa Tibets and one or two Hunting GPS Maps gps chips.

Me too. Same for Social Security. I could easily do without all of our local government and agencies as well. They never plow my road either, and the roads are already full of potholes all the time so why not just leave them as dirt. The police do nothing for me except aggravate the heck out of me with speed traps, and I haven't even gotten a ticket. What a waste of resources. And then they cry about being under-staffed all the time......ya right. Definitely boils my blood.

If I get a refund, it will go into a college savings plan for my son. Not everything I have is comprised of the latest and greatest "must have" technology, but it all works good enough for me.
