Anyone ever used tape before, like on tipis and such? Think it would look nicer than the silicone spread. I’ve got a MSR tent that I’ve been using since 2005 and only now the taped seams are coming loose, but imagine it’d be easy to repair. Came across this product on Amazon:

Prettyia 2Pcs 20mm Width Hot Melt Sealing Tape Fusing Repair Tapes for Waterproof PU Coated Fabrics https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HG7G8M1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_U5.3CbZ9G55PN

You really want to iron that stuff on every seam of a tipi and hope it holds? The silicone, when done right, doesn't look bad at all. You stuff a tipi a few times and this stuff will come off just like the MSR tape has. Only difference is, you have a warranty on the MSR stuff.
