Talk me into Swaro EL Range TA

I have the Swaro EL Range with TA 10x42, and they just don't seem to range well. Button works 80% of the time. Cannot range continuously.

I'm considering selling these and going to the new Leupold RF binos or to Sigs.

Help me back into these. Does anyone feel like these just don't do what you expected?

Excellent binos that I've used since they came out for personal hunting and guiding. Sounds like you have a warranty issue.

I don't like the range finding version. It's a step down from the regular ELs with the coatings they have to put on the glass. Same with the Lieca. They are still great binos. But not as good as the standard ELs.

Agreed: Leica opted to put the lazer in the center hinge vs in the optic barrel to alleviate that problem. The reason the Geovid Pros won out for me.

That's probably when I looked through them. Swaros and liecas. We've had them 3-4 years.

I had a similar issue with TA’s. I changed the battery and no more problem! Turns out I bought a demo pair and the battery was low.
