Tacoma vs SxS

Here’s what I want to know: why spend 15k on a used Polaris Ranger when I can just buy a Tacoma?

I want something that can get around in the mud, haul baby calves, check cows, fix fence and get beat up by yours truly.

Maybe use it as a hunting rig but mostly need to get around on my ranch when it’s muddy. My one ton can feed but sucks in the mud. The tractor gets around, but slow on the road if I have to move pastures.

Locked in 4wd and a set of super swampers, am I good in the mud?

I'd take a tacoma over a sxs everyday. Just being street legal goes a long ways.

2004 an prior is a bare bones rig. Trd gets you an elocker. I'd round up a manual trans rig, and sawzall some fenders.

Thats a light rig and theres a pile of sxs tires out there that are made for stuff like that. Not sure if Id go for the swampers.

East coast gear sells assembled thirds. Think I was around $2400 to swap out my thirds for 5:29's and a spool for the rear and a spartan locker in the front.

$15k would build a badass lil rig
