Anyone have a Tacoma 2024 or newer?
Found a 2024 literally with everything I specd out on a brand new one.
6 speed, TRD off road, sway bar disconnect, trailer tow package
$40,000 with 25,000 miles.

Few hours of research show the Toyota turbo 4 cylinder is still underpowered compared to the ford and GM offerings.
And the fuel mileage is still :poop: 😁

Yet I want one

I have 25 off road premium 6ft. As far as power it's miles above our 23 4runner. I get around 20mpg which is a step better than the '19 5.3 chevy I had at 17mpg. I really like a lot about the truck.

But, here's what I hate. Not all the features of safety sense can be turned off like you could in the 3rd gen. The pre collision can be turned off per trip, but comes back on after restart. This thing is beeping all the damn time. Pulling in garage, beep beep beep, driving down the trail through tall grass, beep beep beep. It's really irritating.

Tank is pretty small. 17 gallon iirc.

And you will need a compatible obd reader and a month of Carista app to turn off a few annoying features and turn a few good ones on.

Another annoying thing is I turned the seatbelt alarm off, but there is still the sb alarm at start up for 5 beeps....🙄

Anyways, long story short. The truck is nice and has more power than previous gens. But the nanny stuff is pretty annoying.

I have a 2025 Trail hunter and overall I like it but there are a few things that annoy me. The power is better than a 3rd gen and the turbo lag isn't a thing for me with the hybrid. The sway bar disconnect, 2400 watt inverter, and the built in air compressor are great. The gas tank is small, the fuel mileage is bad, (I am averaging about 16mpg) and the inability to shut off all of the safety features sucks. With that being said I think they did a great job overall with this generation.

You guy's stick with your fancy rigs, Me , now that Trump said we are a free country and can have real trucks again I'm going with the HILUX 4WD Turbo Diesel, 4 Door, 6 Speed Manual trans. Going to leave the flat bed with fold up sides for the time being and put a front and rear bumper with a trailer hitch on. Possibly a hydraulic winch on the front depending on the power steering arrangement , Maybe a small lift and some KO3 tires to round it out. I wonder if a guy can get the snorkel kit for it or if it's just on the Land Cruiser.

That sounds badass. And expensive. I'm still in the 15'
