Anyone heading to TAC in PA this year? Thinking about heading up Friday morning and shooting a course then another Saturday. First time doing one so we shall see how lay arrows I burn up

TAC PA has a very clean course layout compared to other locations, lot of open areas, you'll still go through forests to shoot along the routes. Tremendous amount of sun exposure (when not raining) so bring sunscreen and ample water containment. It will feel hotter since it's East coast humidity.

There is 1 water station per course and it's not always in the dead center of the course layout, just depends on where they can access via roads to get water setup. Take snacks with you and spending money. The PA and Utah events are some of the best vendor attended events on the tour.

Otherwise practice and know your setup, understand your arrow flight path (esp when in the woods).

I've shot all the locations except Vermont and worked for them 1 season. They're all fun.

Awesome. Being as I reside on the east coast the majority of the shots here are 30-40 and in closer. I regularly practice out to 80 or so so I’m excited to actually put that to the test on a larger scale.

That's good! I would practice out to 120 if you can. Even if the course description says out to 80, that really means add another 20 yards to it for 3-4 targets.

Also, meant to add, if you're doing either Prime or Sitka courses, definitely understand your cut shots. Rather that be using an RF with built-in compensation and arrow speed, or printing out a cutsheet to put in your bino harness.

There's this guy I think trying to get me to go....

Maybe we bet dinner on it or something, some southern sweet burgers.

Have shot 7S several times, but never for TAC

Juuuuuuuust kidding. By the time I got in the queue, sold out. Might try to see if I can shoot one of the other ones.

If you keep checking back periodically additional spots come available randomly. Usually a good bit come availability the month of the shoot.

This will be my second year shooting PA TAC and 3rd year going. So far it has been a great time I am shooting Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I picked the 3 hardest courses this year. Going to see how many arrows I will lose.

Good luck! One word of advice. Until I shot TAC, my longest angled shot was from a tree stand. At my fist TAC, I found that my 3rd axis was off (at the time, I didn't even know what a 3rd axis was...). It shows up on distance, angled shots. It wasn't of by much but, my buddies an I are quite competitive I cannot have them out shooting me. Besides, low score buys the first round after the shoot.
