Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

I have a turkey hunting trip coming up at the end of next week, and the extended forecast shows (for now) some rain showers off and on while we will be there (which ALWAYS happens). I was wanting to get decent some rain gear and saw this Sylo stuff on camofire a week or so ago but didn't pull the trigger.

Anyways, I ordered the pants and jacket yesterday, so I will let you guys know how it is when I get it!

My research tells me its pretty much exactly the same as the old Core4Element Torrent stuff, which I know got pretty good reviews.

I really wanted the Sitka stuff, but for $200 rather than $770, I figured I'd give the Sylo stuff a try.

I ordered a set when it was on Camofire last week, and it should arrive tomorrow. I think you're correct in that it should be a lot like the Core4 Torrent set. I would have liked to get a FirstLite set, but couldn't pass this up for the price.

Update: I just received my rain gear set. My first impression is that this stuff is fairly heavy, but seems to be really well made. My size medium pants weigh 14.7 oz and the medium jacket weighs 18.4 oz. It's cool that both pack into their own pockets, but they take up a fairly large volume when packed. The pants are approx. 9x8x3 (216 cu in) and the jacket is approx. 12x5x3 (180 cu in).

Compared to my friend's KUIU Teton set, this is much heavier, but also heavier-duty and would provide more warmth (and has pit zips). I think this will be a very good set, depending on usage and the rain situation.

Edit to add: I ordered a medium because the sizing is supposed to be larger to allow for layering, but I think this is a little too large for my tastes. I might look into exchanging for a small if Camofire has any left. For reference, I'm 5'10" 160 lbs. The size chart for the medium is correct for me, I just think the "over-sizing" for layering is a little too much.

That kinda scares me a little bit. I'm 5'8" 185lbs. I wear size 34 Sitka pants and large Sitka jackets) and I ordered the Large. Hopefully it won't be too big!

I'm 6'1 and 150 lbs and the medium pants fit well but the medium jacket is a little baggy but it cinches up enough where I don't mind.

Got my raingear today and had a chance to try it on quick. Definitely big!

The waist on the large pants seems just about right for me (again, I usually wear a size 34), but the legs are very baggy and quite long.

The large jacket fits well across my shoulders but is very baggy in the belly area.

I may order the mediums and wait to send anything back until I get to try them on, and then send back whichever doesnt fit as well.

With that said, the quality and the finish seem really nice!
