I had the same issue where one hose washer was too little and 2 was too much so thought about doing this myself. However, after adding 1-2 thin plastic washers, both my scopes elevation and windage will get hard to turn about 1-2 mils past 0. While it would be nice to have it stop much closer to 0 like what you’re describing, I think this will be good enough for now but time will tell…
I just got a couple of these too. The ebay seller "tmkulin" is a good guy to deal with and the shims are good quality.I just ordered a set of SWFA zero stops on ebay from seller "tmkulin". Last time I checked they were out of stock, so I'm happy to see them available now.

It’s interesting that they say they manufacture the shims. My guess is that they get them from the local hardware store and put them in a plastic bag. Not sure if that counts as manufacturing.

That makes more sense and might make the cost worth it at that point. The turret and shims should be the same on the SWFA SS 6X, 10X, and 3-15X. The HD 3-9 turrets are shorter and a different diameter.
They absolutely work on the 6x, I printed one out prior to posting.
Those look great! I like how they are marked for how many revolutions they shim.
