Their system rejected my first card when I placed my back order some time ago but accepted another. No phone call or email for me. My account order status indicates processing. Under the view order tab it indicates shipped with a tracking #. Then the fun police just asked what the Hell this SWFA charge is on the card as she gets text alerts. Haha.

Their system is weird. Probably slammed too. Nice folks. Dealt with them for years.

My card wasn’t working, when I called to place my order she said something about updating stuff so I wouldn’t get rejected online again, I guess she could see the card declines.

Allison just confirmed the 3-9 order went through and may go out today, but if not, then on Tuesday.

No similar luck on the 6X.

Card charged for a 3-9 I ordered yesterday, backorder from 11/15 has not hit yet.

Edit: Just got a call from them responding to a voicemail I left, card was being declined for unknown reason on the backorder, all squared away now.

If this is of use to anyone, the customer service guy on the phone says the OEM for the variable magnification scopes is the same as it's always been - an outfit in Japan.

I have absolutely no need for one of these but you guys have me wanting to buy one. I have been more than satisfied with my 3–15s but I may have to give them a call tomorrow. I saw mention of the new turret numbering, what’s changed there?

Don't worry, there will be plenty of them in the classifieds in the summer once the hype has worn off and folks are underwhelmed by the overall package.

This is probably true although for $430 or even $630 out the door I don't think you can get anything close. One thing that doesn't always get mentioned is how good the glass on these is at low light and how ridiculously over-scoped (in terms of magnification especially) many of us get sucked into being.

What are the thoughts on the 3-9 SWFA vs NF 3-10 SHV? Note - I already have the latter (brand new) and just got Aadland covers for it yesterday, so it's highly unlikely that I change my setup/mind. Looking only for answers to validate me.

Main thing that kills the 3-10 SHV to me is capped elevation turret and only in MOA. If they had exposed turrets in MIL i'd be inclined to try one over SWFA.
