Wow so sightron scopes are made from the same japan factory as the swfa...nothing to laugh at. These are as solid as any. Ive heard peoples tijicon or nightforce breaking not infrequently so...also sightron may make 6x42 in the future!!!!

They are however made in the same factory just like trig /nf is made in the same as other so called high end scopes....there are only so many factories.

people have stated on here theres basically 2 japan factories for almost all scope...one for the high end and one for standard japan glass..

It's not a secret they are made by LOW in Japan. Different build specs between manufacturers. Built in same factory doesn't mean same durability/robustness.

For clarity the HD are low and the SS are kenko iirc (kenco also making some, all? of the sightron scopes). But yes different specs affect the outcome.

Are you talking about an old model? I don't see a 10x42 in their lineup. I know they used to have alot of other models, I have one of their older SII big sky scopes in my gear stash still.
