I hunt with a gen1 10x. It gets me to about 20 minutes past sunset before I can't make ethical identification at 100 yards. I'm in South Carolina so we can shoot 1 hour after sunset. I need a better low light scope, I'd have another usable 20+ minutes.Does anyone hunt/shoot with the reg ss 10x around low light without issues?
For the $ (700ish) can't beat a 2.5-10x56 Accupoint...but if there's not a rush to shoot, I'm identifying with my 8x42 binocs. I shot a big doe last night at 623pm at 210 yards, but I was using a Leica scope. Upstate SC.I hunt with a gen1 10x. I've got a set of 8x Bushnell binos that I can see much later with, but after 20 minutes I have trouble making out one deer from another through the scope. For the $ (700ish) can't beat a 2.5-10x56 Accupoint...but if there's not a rush to shoot, I'm identifying with my 8x42 binocs. I would highly recommend Trijicon. I was sitting on a shaded field in AL tonight and could make out deer at 30 min after sunset with my Trijicon Tenmile.I hunt with a gen1 10x. The catch is I have SWFA money, not Tenmile money. I think an Accupoint may be my next move.I would highly recommend Trijicon. I was sitting on a shaded field in AL tonight and could make out deer at 30 min after sunset with my Trijicon Tenmile.
You won't be disappointed. I own 3, but they are usually in woods or field with my peepsThe catch is I have SWFA money, not Tenmile money. I think an Accupoint may be my next move.
My SWFA 10x will probably move to my wife's rifle. She likes climbing out of the stands while she can still see anyways.
What about a credo 2.5-10x56? Glass is glass for the most part unless you’re stepping up to premium European glass. Go take a look at forms lowlight test and you will probably come to the conclusion in your budget level you need a larger exit pupil to see later which means a bigger objective and lower power. The catch is I have SWFA money, not Tenmile money.
