Is there a way to correct the mushyness with a oring change or something? Feel like i recall reading that at some point.

You can just remove the Oring on the 3-9s. No affect on function.

Anecdotal, but I did notice a stark contrast when dialing in the warmth indoors. A lot less mushy... I could see the grease being pretty dense and mushy in the below freezing weather, and more fluid / thin when warm.
