Welp, I ordered the 3-9. My first SWFA, and also first FFP and Mil scope. I’ve always been a MOA guy. Am I gonna be converting everything to Mil now? lol

Probably lol. If for no other benefit, a base 10 system is simpler under pressure.

I'm glad so many people were able to take advantage of this. As for me, I was able to score a demo 3-9 from SWFA the other day on eBay. I think I got a pretty good price on it (~$425 with shipping and tax), perhaps due to people saving up for black friday deals.

This new (to me) scope and the 36% off at Scheels (see the black friday thread for details -- screaming good deal) have cost me quite a bit this year...

Is anyone gonna use the free Kenton turrets? Not sure if I should use them, or sell my coupons at a good rate and dial like everyone else

We currently do all our hunting in more or less the same conditions and within +/- 1500' elevation so it makes sense for us. Even if we go up to 10,000' it's only .2 mil difference at 800 yards so it's easy to subtract a couple clicks.

If you're using a range finder with ballistics then I would definitely sell the coupon.

Yeah, I figured others from here were either looking or bidding. The final price was on the edge for me between used or new black friday. I'm trying to gear up for my first elk hunt next year, so trying my best to keep things semi affordable. It's challenging!

You know I've been so m happy with mine is just have no interest in trying anything else. Maybe a 3x9 down the road, but for now I'll be perfectly happy being a 10x guy.

10X is a sleeper, there's a lot that can be done with it.

I will have a few Swaro’s for sale soon lol…
USPS just delivered, today, a pair of the SWFA SS 12X32 BR’s I ordered last week.
Should I send them back and reorder now lol? Save $100?

10X is a sleeper, there's a lot that can be done with it.

I’m surprised the 10x doesn’t get more love here. I’ve hunted exclusively with it for 4 years - killed big game from 700 to under 50 yards without issue. Tempted to by the gen2 just because of the screws on the turrets on the gen1
