SWFA 3-9 Low Profile Turret Interest

See my reply above it’s the brass post on the scope itself that is tall on the Gen 1 fixed scopes. They aren’t getting shorter with only a cap change.
I believe the brass posts are the same length on the Gen 1 and Gen 2 fixed scopes. And while they are definitely longer than the 3-9, you can still put a shorter cap on them. I will often take my windage caps off when I’m hunting and replace with the cap off a folding chair leg.

I did something like this for a customer years ago. However they were for knobs on equipment that flew at high altitude. Plastic knobs kept getting brittle and cracking. Went to a local machine shop and provided specs. They made aluminum ones that worked well. Customer had GWOT $ to spend
Minimum order of 500 made it worth their effort. If I recall my cost from the shop was around $39 per unit.

The rounded chair cap is throwing off your perception. Height of the turret cap on the scope is only ~2mm taller than the post. The chair cap being rounded I am sure is less obtrusive but its not shorter by any meaningful magnitude.

Possibly windage. Elevation is just fine.

The turrets on the fixed powers are way too big, and I wish all target scopes would stop using external adjustments for windage. I'd guess everyone that actually shoots holds windage on the reticle.
