After seeing a few pics of the Swazi Tahr Anorak I think I want to try one. To me it looks perfect for hunting & fishing. Does anyone know where these can be bought in the US?

There's a small company in B.C. that sells them. Company is called "Bushcraft Canada".

www.bushcraftcanada.com

The Swazi gear is on the website. Not sure how that shakes out for shipping to the U.S. though. In any event, any canadian roksliders have now been informed, if nothing else.

Thanks for the information. I emailed both Bushcraft Canada and Swazi directly. I haven't heard back from Swazi yet but I probably sent it after closing there. Bushcraft Canada doesn't ship to the US so that's out for now.

I got a response from Swazi and ended up ordering one directly from them. I don't know how it will all work out with shipping or duties, but with the currency conversion I think it will end up running me about $350 US, but that remains to be seen.

Update: I got the Swazi today. With the currency exchange my Cabela's card charged it was a hair north of $350 shipped. This is one nice piece of clothing. Very quiet for raingear with the brushed face. About 11oz. heavier than my Firstlite Stormtight, but probably offers a little more protection and could probably get by without rain pants and just run gaiters. It has great wind blocking capabilities. It's 40 here today with a 25-30 mph wind blowing off the lake and rain/snow showers and I'm comfortable with just a light fleece under it. I'm sure with a puffy, it will be plenty warm. I plan on giving it a little better test next week. My only complaint is that there really isn't a front pocket other than the chest pocket. For sitting in a tree stand I may need a muff, but for hiking I don't anticipate a problem. I'm pretty happy and will be selling my other raingear.
