Swarovski warranty issues?

Hey everyone,

I am curious how many other people have had issues with getting denied warranty work on Binos?

I recently sent my SLC Binos in for a stiff focus wheel. They have inspected the Binos and have informed me the repair will cost $510 due to the area behind the focus wheel being cracked.

Not going to lie that I’m pretty annoyed that they are not covering this. I spent a premium on some binoculars which should come with some actual warranty.

Wondering if anyone else has went through this with them,

I had a pair of older Bushnell that I literally drove over with my truck on accident and they sent a new pair no questions asked….

I just sent in a 9 year old set of 8x25s that were in good shape mechanical wise but needed new rubber eye cups and casing as it was just degraded.
They went thru them as well.
Got them back with no charge.

Never, Swaro has always been the best company I’ve ever worked with for repairs. However, they don’t just fix everything for free, lenses, issues, etc…they take care of you but it’s not the vortex warranty, but their shit isn’t built to brake like vortex either. No different than any other alpha company if it’s not manufacture related, you may have to pay something. All pretty clear in their warranties.

Not trying to turn this into a vortex vs swaro thread but I have razor HDs in my work truck that get way more abuse then the swaro. Still no
Issues with them.

Yeah, that’s a tough one. Did you ask them why it isn’t covered under warranty? I’d start there. My experience with their warranty service has always been stellar. I’m curious as to what they say if you ask them.

Ah, yet another thread about a premium optic company that's NOT providing the same service as Leupold, Vortex or Burris, IE replacing or repairing for free regardless of the cause.

These are starting to become more common....

I have sent a reply back asking why, still waiting for response

That's odd I sent my el range Binos in that were gifted to me because the range finder button fell apart. No question asked they fixed for me with no charge. You might call again and ask. I had a similar situation with leupold range finder that I dropped (off a 30ft cliff) found it and would range properly. They told me they wouldn't cover it under warranty. A little later I talked with a different person and they said they would cover it no problem. Hopefully they will take care of you.

Yes- because they aren’t baking in the cost of giving new ones away. “No fault” warranties aren’t free. When someone runs over their binos and the company gives them a new pair no questions asked, they aren’t doing it out of the goodness of their heart- they already got the money for that free new pair. You pay for that “forever warranty” when you buy them.
