Swaro EL vs Zeiss SF vs Leica Ultravid?

Hi,

I am in the marketing to purchase one of the above mentioned alpha binoculars. Their usage would be nature observing, birds, etc, NOT hunting. I do wear glasses so that is a consideration for good eye relief.

Which would be my best choice for my needs?

Thanks

Check out Optica Exotica on YouTube. He has a bunch of good review videos. But as said, it will probably come down to what your eyes like best and your personal preference.

Please try before you buy and preferably compare at the same time. Binos are personal on the fit to your eyes and image. All alphas will be great but different. The differences are what matters to the individual. Leica's will be the hardest to find to look through in my experience.

Good advice, put them all in your own hands. I just looked at LRF binos, Swarovski, zeiss and leica. I ended up with the old school leica geovids, cuz they felt the best to my eyes and in my hands. And I don't want all that techy stuff the new ones do.

Have all 3, but 2 are in 50’s, swaro 10x50el and Leica 10x50 hd plus. In the 50 and overall view the swaro is more transparent imo than the others, it’s imo the best 10x on the market and the reason I sold a 10x42 nl. In the 42 its a toss up but the sf Zeiss wins on fov by a bit. The swaro also has a different color than the Leica or Zeiss, it’s a cooler more vivid view where Zeiss is warmer and Leica is somewhere in the middle. Without getting to long winded it’s a win win situation. Glass will be a wash if you get good samples of each and it’ll come down to fov, dof, weight, eye relief, and warranty. All are top tier. Good luck. A few pics of my 42’s along side the 50’s.

I own or have owned examples of all 3. I like the Zeiss SF the best, it has great balanced
handling, very bright and a smooth as butter focuser.
