Swapping Between Scopes-Keeping Zero

Currently have a Savage Axis .22-250 w/Vortex 4-12x scope on a dovetail mount. Looking to add a picatinny rail to be able to swap back and forth the current scope and a Leupold fixed 20x for woodchucks. Will zero stay pretty close if both scopes have dedicated ring sets?

Aside from cheap parts, do most ring/rails cooperate or are there certain qualities to look for?

Can't speak to others, I use nightforce rings and rail. I put a dab of imperial case lube on the ring base clamps and on the rail so they behave.

If you push forward, put them in the previous slot, and hit the right torque value, they should stay within an unnoticeable change from zero.

As long as you have everything set up correctly it should be alright. I can take my barreled action out of my chassis, take the scope out of the rings, take the barrel off and it will all be within .1 mil when I put it back together!
