SW Wyoming??

Would like Rocksliders take on the Green River, Wy area. I have an interview with a soda ash mine/process plant this week. Might be moving from the Denver foothills as both the wife and I (engineers both) will be laid off by the end of March due to our company closing the office.

I do have a transfer available to Charlotte, NC but can't really see us moving from the mountains to the SE. I have travelled to the Carolinas for work enough to know what that area is like.

What are the pluses/minuses to the SW Wyoming area around Green River that may not be obvious.

Me as well. I grew up in rock springs. Also, I have family working in the mines.

I grew up in RS and moved to Utah. I wish I could be in SW WYO every day.

Almost left Utah to go to Green River to work for OCI (Soda Ash) last year. If the benefits were a little better I would have went. Nice area...pretty high elevation. You will be pretty close to the North Slope of the Uintas...lots of hunting up there.
