SvBONY?

"SVBONY, interesting... I wonder what else they have? Oh, the original ? brand for the ultralight Nocs 9-27x56mm and Hawke scope I saw online but much cheaper? @packgoatguy has one of those too? I want to try it out..."

Thanks for costing me money :D

I received my SVBONY 9-27x today. For ~$150, I'm pretty impressed. With the lens caps on and a Wiser ARCA plate, it weighs 21oz.--11oz less than a 13-39x56 Razor with a scope coat. The focus is smooth and easy, and image resolution is better than expected.

With only 5 minutes using it, I get the impression that it will give me some eye fatigue if I try to use it throughout a long glassing session, but time will tell.

Hilariously or sadly, I was pleasantly surprised with the tight fit of the rubber objective and eyepiece lens caps. Unless they come with plastic snap in caps, most scopes come with really poorly fitted caps that slip right off if you tip the scope upside down, brush it against something, or even think about putting it into a pack. Not so with this--tight fit.

I've been using the SVBONY 9-27x for 15+ minutes at a time, at least twice a day, and am still impressed by the performance for its size and value.

FWIW, I haven't experienced any issues with eye strain yet and that impression was almost certainly influenced by a migraine I came down with later that same day 🤦‍♂️
