Lorpen or Smartwool liners. Keen merino wool socks over the top. Keen actually makes R and L socks, not for dumb phucks but for comfort. I like the knee highs. They don't slip or bunch up.
Keens have held up to years of abuse, they are bomber socks for sure. The Costco merinos are tough to beat for the price, but they're too thick for September archery hunting IMO. DT socks do seem to retain moisture and as a result make my feet cold, at least in the winter. I don't run a lin Dr with my system as I've been wearing trail runners for the past few years, but got a pair of Solomon 4Gs this fall.
