I have an older gen 1 Surefire G2 with the 1.25" diameter bezel on my AR as a gun light. I have a Surefire flip cap red filter for it that I intend to use for some night time hog hunting along with a scope that has green reticle illumination. As it comes, the white beam has plenty of range, but the red filter really cuts the effective distance of the beam. I don't know much about lights or the upgrade kits for the G2, so I'll ask you Roksliders...what is the best upgrade kit for the Surefire G2? I see that most of them are a LED bulb upgrade. Are there any that upgrade the bulb and lenses?
I would like to keep the bezel at the standard 1.25" so I can use my red filter.
