Wow that’s a quick onethis seems too good to be true, but received notification of approval from atf today.
form 4 trust
purchased 2/27/23 silencer shop
certified 3/23/23
approved 4/10/23
guess I am making a trip to town tomorrow.
Turns out the shop I used for the transfer gave up their sot and SS kiosk. When they did that, atf fast tracked all outstanding submissions. mine was one of the last ones they submitted and thus only a couple weeks wait. Dumb luck, but it means I will have one for hunting season.Wow that’s a quick one

The NFA Fast Pass. I’d love to see someone game the system by setting up and subsequently dissolving a license for all their buddies to get their suppressors quickly.Turns out the shop I used for the transfer gave up their sot and SS kiosk. That happened here when a local gun club went under. Two of my buddies got there’s in less than 3 monthsTurns out the shop I used for the transfer gave up their sot and SS kiosk. It was just luck. I got the email and was quite surprised, then got a call from the shop. Have the stamp and silencer now. The shop got 120 approvals today. How is that even possible? Everyone is 9-12 months and yours is 2 1/2 weeks. I can’t imagine this is right but for your sake I hope it is.
I guess I should have read on to see how and why. I’m happy for you. Meanwhile I’ll be on of the ones waiting a year plus for mine. Lol

With waits for a new ffl only a month, it would be quicker to setup a ffl, submit form 4’s and dissolve the ffl than wait for a normal form 4.The NFA Fast Pass. Interesting. I have a friend that got his license to sell suppressors. I will have to ask him if he plans to ever let it go to let me know.Turns out the shop I used for the transfer gave up their sot and SS kiosk. I'm in a similar boat. Originally certified on 3/21/22. Was rejected because on the trust in one of the fields my name had two letters transposed. Apparently that is just too confusing for federal employees to figure out. So in all their brilliance, the solution is to file an amendment document to amend the spelling error. Now I'm just waiting to see if this clears up all the confusion. So at 350 I got disapproved. Need to get things corrected and start again. Weeeeee. FML
I'm now officially praying my lgs goes out of business.Turns out the shop I used for the transfer gave up their sot and SS kiosk. Fair question. They're mostly dedicated to specific rifles and uses.
The 45-cal suppressors are for a 450 Bushmaster (jacketed) and a 45-70 (lead), so their modularity is a side benefit, but not the intent.
Optimus Micro is intended to be an inexpensive, lightweight, direct thread .223 hunting suppressor that would provide the option for 22LR being a takedown.
Resistance 22M came free with the Bushwhacker 46, so that's simply a nice-to-have. Somewhat redundant with the Optimus Micro, but that's alright.
That leaves the Omega 36M, which I actually bought with true modularity in mind. I figured I can use that on about any mid caliber rifle or smaller, and if I want to play around with a suppressed pistol, I've got the option.
You must be a psychic because I woke up this morning to an email saying it was approvedYou should be really close. I saw a few getting approved from early July 21.
Just been trying to stay up on the wait times. There's a monthly reddit thread where everyone posts all of their NFA approvals and track the wait times. Hopefully I've only got around 6mo left on my first two.You must be a psychic because I woke up this morning to an email saying it was approved
I've got 4 cans in lock up now. I'm just going to pretend like they don't exist.Just been trying to stay up on the wait times. There's a monthly reddit thread where everyone posts all of their NFA approvals and track the wait times. Hopefully I've only got around 6mo left on my first two.
As much as I try to forget about them it's not going so well.
