I like my Armageddon gear cover. Easy to slip in and off, and cinches at the back so it dosnt slide forward

I've had an armageddon gear for a while. It does slip forward sometimes. On the harvester, there is a built brake which when it covers it does a bit of damage.

Anyone try an MGM cover? Not really removeable, but affordable. I don't tend to remove my covers. Multiple cans, multiple covers.

I have a lane can along with the lane cover. Mine works very well. I don’t know how well it would work on other cans. It does hang off the back so it doesn’t creep forward.

My first thought of this thread title, was, why do you need one? Then, after looking up that Armageddon Gear site, seen they were promoted for heat mirage purposes. Since my suppressor is on a bolt action, I’ve never encountered that problem. But seems like a lot of money for a piece of fabric.

If you want to look tacticool go with the cloth ones. If you want one that works well, helps with mirage, protects you from burns and doesn't slip get one of the silicone covers from Bowers Group. And they're cheap.

Cuts down on mirage caused by the suppressor heating up.

1-3 shots is no big deal depending on cartridge and barrel length but past that, at higher magnification you can get some serious mirage in the scope, which can alter your site picture enough to cause a shift in poi.
