Suppressing a lightweight rifle

OK! What stocks are those? Pardon my ignorance. Is the top one a folder? Desperately seeking a lighter weight Tikka folder stock.

Chassis and lighter weight can;'t be used in the same thread... much less the same post!!! They are metal and heavy!

Haha very true....all my chassis rifles are roughly 8-8.25 pounds before optics. If I took the folder off of them then sub would be sub 8 pounds, but the folder is part of what makes a chassis so nice so that ain't happening. That said my Ruger M77 338 WM weighs similar weight but not nearly as adjustable or versatile :)

What stock / chassis do you have there, Luke? I too have been looking for a folder for a tikka.

I currnetly have 4 Tikkas in chassis rifles...all of them different. 2 are from MDT (LSS for the 300 WSM with a folding stock, and the one above is a 22-250 in LSS-XL with standard stock, no folder on that one currently, but could slap one of my other adpaters on there if I wanted.

I also have my Tikka CTR 6.5 in a XLR element with a folding stock, and lastly my Tikka Carbon barrel 7 WSM in a Carbon Element stock with a folder stock adapter as well....this one should come in around just over 8 pounds which isn't back for a full chassis rifle.

Gotta love how a big chassis rifle packs away when hauling it on a pack in the alders that is for sure. The 24" barrel doesn't stick up very high and I don't miss the buttstock being below the waistbelt of my pack when I want to sit down and such.

Will be doing a review on the XLR Carbon chassis in a few months.

Thanks. That's why I am looking to set one up. I'd carry a little extra weight if it meant I could fold it up and get that barrel lower and butt stock at or above my belt.

Crap! Surely some ingenious carbon fabricator will develop a hunter's folding stock/chassis. Needs to be perfect, have inviso-camo, improve accuracy, lighter than air and cost only like $23.43.

Bought a law folder for my AR and love the compactness if not the slight weight increase.
