I really like Leica trinovid 10x42 and maven b.2 11x45. I think the Leica gives you a few more minutes being a hair brighter, and are more compact. I’ve ran vortex razors, they are pretty good but not as good. I have a pair of sig Zulu 6 and they are awesome for some situations but don’t stack up with near as good of glass (I have the original version). As people have stated above I think you’d be happy with used SLCs, maven b.1, b.2, or b.6, leica trinovid, Ziess conquest, vortex razor hd, uhd, or meoptas. Once you get around that $1000 range everyone makes a solid bino that is far superior to the 2-$500 binos.

If you are interested in Meoptas with rangefinder (Optika LR), I have a pair in excellent condition that I would part with for $1k (plus shipping cost). They are in perfect condition - I just switched up my kit and went with Swaros without the rangefinder and a separate handheld rangefinder with the AB curves.

I would love to find some good used SLC HD’s in that range. Thanks for the suggestion.
Should not be too hard. Might require some patience. But suggest right here on Rokslide!

Used SLC HD or look into Kahles, evidently a rebranded SLC

I think I paid just over $1000 for my lightly used SLC HD’s
Thanks , A used SLC HD for a $1000 would be sweet

Are you talking about the Leica Trinovid HD. Trying to figure out if the HD matters. Thanks Aaron

Thanks for the offer, but I am not interested in built in rangefinder . Thanks

Sub $1k it’s sure tough to beat Nikon HGs. And the prices used in those are getting crazy. Seen them sub $600 lately.

I agree if you want to spend $1200 used the options open some other doors. If you don’t mind big, UHDs are nice, swaro/meopta/sfl are all awesome.

I don’t have experience with all the suggestions. Razor UHDs are very nice. One I’d add is the Tracts. To be fair, I’ve never looked through a set of their binos however I own and have looked through their scopes and they are well above their price point. If I was shopping for binos, Tracts would be on my short list.

These Bruntons were 1650$ MSRP when they came out. Built to compete with swaro. Excellent value
