Sub 1k binos and no fault warranties

Have been reading a ton on these fantastic forums, and whittling down the vast list of options. One of my filter preferences is with the several companies offering no questions/no fault warranties. Looks like Athlon, Maven, and Vortex essentially do the same lifetime warranty, Zeiss a 5 year, and Leica has recently gone to 10 years. I treat all of my gear with respect, but the added peace of mind is worth narrowing down my choices.

Second factor is the awesome discounts available from my veteran and current first responder status. The 5 above, through various venues, range from 10 to 40%. This helps my dollar stretch further, and I need all of the help I can get going from looking at $300 glass to $1k+ after reading countless reviews here.

If you're still reading after all of that, thank you. If I'm missing a binocular that meets the above requirements, I would love to hear about it. Below is my short list in no particular order, and generally discounted close to used prices I've seen in the classifieds. Will be for hand glassing here in San Diego, and maybe some trips to the PNW probably in 10x42.

Maven b1
Vortex Fury HD 5k
Zeiss Conquest HD
Leica Trinovid HD

I appreciate your experience and time.

Expect to send your vortex stuff back if you buy them. I’ve sent back a vortex viper scope twice and binos twice. Not worth it to me for my time and money spent on hunts. Now have SLC’s 10x42 and a Ziess v4 to replace those. Dumped the scope and the binos are in the bottom of my sons toy boxes. So ya they do warranty them, but not worth it.

With the discounts available to you both Meopta and Zeiss are available at incredible prices. Also, beware of companies that oversell unconditional warranty as with many of those brands you’re more likely to need it.

Would recommend buying the highest quality glass you can possibly afford (including the discount). Buy once, cry once is much better than buying on what looked like a good deal only to find a glass you like leagues better for only a bit more money.

IMO the Zeiss Conquest has the best optics of all those I’ve seen listed in this thread. It‘s body, eyecups and focus are just average but the view is very nice. The Meopta will hang right there with it as well.

If looking to stay under $500, the Athlon Cronus G2 UHD is hard to beat. I just recently bought one just to keep in the truck and was pretty stunned by the quality for the money.

Maven bumped mil discount from 10 to 20% in case you didn’t know. Between that, and the extra $10 for the RYO harness, lens filters and cleaning kit I think it’s a fantastic value when you buy the B1 or B2 bundle.

Good to know. Is that directly through maven? Active duty buddy has decided his set will be maven.

I like their products a lot, but they don't cover accidents from what I have found.
They are very generous with their lifetime warranty. If you google it there are several examples of Leupold taking care of people’s accidents. I switched from Vortex Binos to Leupolds a few years ago. I currently run the 15x56 Santiam HDs. They are amazing. These are made in Japan. All of your vortex binos are made in china with the exception of the UHD line.

Any reports on how Nikon does? I've been coveting a set of 10x42 Monarch HGs for a while.
