struggling to decide

i use binocs all the time, however for mo whitetail an turkey. i usually try to hunt out west once a year. i dont need swaro, want them but dont need them. ive only been able to look thru zeiss hdx and vortex hd. i really wanna like the zeiss glass because i pretty much refuse to spend a grand on chinese anything. but i like the vortex better. soooo, i looked into maven, leica trinovid, tract torics, and nikon hg. they are all better than my current bx4s i assume. but, how much better. also, i absolutely demand a locking diopter because i have an eye condition and a corneal transplant so its a must for me. right now im leaning towards the tracts but help me decide. size an weight matter to.

Don’t pay a grand for the Vortex. They aren’t worth that. But you can find them discounted on Sierra. They are worth those prices when they pop up.

aaoptics is another good spot when they have refurb (same as new just super cheap) vortex, if they happen to have a model you want

Speaking from experience, you know where this is heading.
Call Doug at Cameraland-ny and watch classifieds. Get some Swaros and be done with it.

Look for a new or used pair of Meopta Meostars. In my opinion some of the best glass for the money. They don't tend to hold their value like swaro but means you can find a good deal on a used pair if you choose.

Nikon Monarch HG. Can usually find them under $700 used. Not gonna touch anything close to that quality for the money. I think Matt Cashell did a thorough review on here if you can find it.
