Stropping Compound: What are you all using?

I just use green stropping compound and my knives turn out pretty damn sharp. Just took my son’s Menefee that he used for two deer and gave it a couple swipes and it was hair popping again.

For those of you who use diamond emulsions, what are you using? Do you find them to be demonstrably better?

I am not interested in mirror edges, just the sharpest edges possible for skinning animals.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I just saw a video on this yesterday about green vs diamond. My strop is a collection of every color and a few grades of diamond powder I no longer remember. After watching this video it seems I might get a fine bristle brush to spruce it up and quit adding so much abrasive.

I have omitted green altogether. One side is black since it cuts better for field touch up and other side is white, which still cuts. White is outstanding to truly remove the burr.

I've been using diamond for a while now. It's really economical long term, works on high carbide steels, and cuts well. 6 micron on one side, and 1 micron on the other.
It always surprises me to see how well knives will strop back and not require a full resharpening. The diamond seems to make that even more effective.
