So I pulled the trigger on a Sawtooth recently and was thinking about getting a medium titanium oval 7'' stove for it. Would like to hear some other options or words of advice from guys that have more experience then me. Far as I can tell this stove should do the job just fine without soaking up a lot of room or weight, but ive been wrong before....

I run the medium oval in my sawtooth and it works great. If you're never going to run it in anything smaller I'd go with the taller walls, negligent weight penalty with the ability to run bigger sticks.

Medium tall wall oval has worked very well in my Sawtooth. It will burn you out of the thing if you have good wood!

Any medium stove has way more heating capability than the Sawtooth requires. I use a medium in my 8-Man and it can be too much heat at times. That said, small stoves just don't hold enough fuel (or coals) and need fed more often. I owned a Kifaru medium oval but sold it after a couple years of messing with the wires, kinks, and tiny holes. Good stove when assembled. I think TiGoat has pretty much nailed it with the Wifi. This stove is built solid, strong, very light and very clean. Assembly is beyond simple. My favorite stove by far, but a steady fire in it produces a LOT of heat for a Sawtooth. I'm toying with the idea of a TiGoat cylinder stove (trying it) and see what I think.

Thanks for the info guys, gave me some peace of mind before spending the money on this thing, I may run it in a super tarp but don't have anything bigger than the sawtooth yet, also didn't know about the tigoat wifi but I like the way that's put together a lot better, I'm thinking I'll be going with the medium wifi 7.5' of pipe, thanks again i appreciate the help

Kevin summed it up well.....

...TiGoat has pretty much nailed it with the Wifi. This stove is built solid, strong, very light and very clean. Assembly is beyond simple. My favorite stove...

I have the Wifi and very pleased with it......easy to put together, very sturdy, and decent burn time.

If near Wheeling, WV, you are welcome to check my Wifi stove out.

Really like the Seek Outside SXL stove. Good burn time. Allows larger pieces of wood to be added with the large opening.

im about to be in the same boat. ill be ordering a sawtooth here in a few weeks, and trying to decide if the SO SXL is neccesary. a little heavier than their medium, but a longer burn sounds like a fair trade off. ill be cooking on it, so i need the flat top.

anyone else able to chime in on different stoves for the sawtooth?
