I'm a Hobbit, 5'7 150, 30 inch waist. Mine shipped fast, and arrived a day early, so you might want to call and make sure all is well.

The Xcurve will ride closer to the back of the head than the Krux frame, which is by design. When working through the shape of the frame we found that by moving the stays closer over your body center of gravity (closer to the head) that the load lifter angle can be increased without increasing the height of the frame. While the actual value will vary with torso length, we can attain load lifter angles of a taller frame while staying at the 25.5", more lift without the added bulk of a taller frame which equates to more load stability and weight distribution.
This being said, that angle can be adjusted if absolutely needed (contact me if your have questions.) However, flattening out the angle will decrease this design advantage and lift angle.

Tex- Sorry for the delay, we are all down in Reno at the Wild Sheep show, shipping will resume on Monday when we get back and it should be headed your way shorty. Thanks! Kurt

I wonder if mine will ride close to my head as well?! I am 5'10" and 180lbs so maybe it'll sit a little differently on me. I went with the 5900 and the X-Curve frame. I ordered it a few days ago but still haven't received any shipping info which is funny because they say on their website that all orders go out the following business day. As soon as it arrives I'll throw it on and see how it sits on my frame.

When I ordered mine Pete said they won't be shipping until next week as everyone is out of the office at the trade shows.

MT_Wyatt- Thanks for the pictures. I like the look of the waist belt. Looks a lot wider then MR's.

Thanks for the update, I had fired off an email earlier, just glad there wasn't a hangup/issue. I'll be looking for shipping/tracking info next week.

Do you mind sharing your torso size?

Its interesting that two people have commented that the frame rides close to the back of their head.

It's only the fabric on the bag, between the stays. With a daypack on there, or the load sling, the full head cut out is quite useful.

At the end of the day, I think the comfort gains under load outweigh the impact of having the system closer to your head. I mentioned it just because it's something to consider you might not get from the pics online.

Could someone please post picks of how the bag attaches to the frame, and the attachment points on the XCurve. Thanks in advance! -Chip...

Hopefully someone will post this; however the description states that the new frame works with all current SG bags, suggesting that the process is exactly the same.

Kurt - does the new R3 bag work on the X-curve frame?

Kurt stated "All past and present SG bags are compatible with the Xcurve frame. The load shelf and bags attach in the exact same way as well. The overall weight of the frame increased approximately 8 oz over the Krux".

No expert, but here is a few photos of my X Kurve and Sky 7400.

Remove the lower two straps.

Then there is two more that hold it down to the frame under the bag.

Excellent Stid, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new frame. Keep warm down there, it's a balmy -12 here right now. I'm lovin' it.

I read that prior as well, however I have never seen one in person.

Thank you again Mr. Stid! Between the pictures you posted, and the video snowcamoman posted in the other thread, I have the information I was seeking.

I appreciate the effort.
