The company I work for is ordering us some Stone Glacier Cirque Jackets. I have always typically worn Kuiu jackets and know they’re sizing is a little small so I normally wear Large jackets but with Kuiu in order xl. Is stone glacier similar or is their sizing more normal?

I have found that the Cirque is tight in the armpits. Not sure if it's the pit zips or what. I have basically every Stone Glacier jacket and medium fits me perfect in everything else. I still wear the Cirque in size medium, but it's a tad snug in the armpits. DeHavilland, M5, Cirque Lite, Grumman, Zenith, all fit great. I have a Headwall on order as well!

Medium in Kuiu and Sitka is small on me and Large is too baggy for reference. I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs.

I wear in a size large in every brand of jackets. I do like the cirque, but it does get tight across the chest, especially when zipped all or most of the way up.

I’m trying to find a good rain jacket. How do you like the M5? Use will be hunting out west

I don't hunt much where it is wet but I really liked it. It's heavier than a lightweight rain jacket but it's very durable and I think it will hold up to abuse

I wear a size large across the board. I think the fit it somewhat based on the designed function, as some of the kuiu large midlayers fit only a base under where others fit more layers under (if needed)…

My take on the cirque (i do not have one so take this with a grain of salt) is it is designed to be a midlayer that can be worn as an outer layer. As such, it will be slightly smaller in size to more dedicated outer layers designed to wear a mid under if needed.

Just my take from reading. I have never played with one in a store or anything.

I have a headwall and it is roomy inside but not baggy. Compare that to the kuiu strongfleece and it is more snug but not constricting at all.

Of course, body size will make a big difference too…i am a normal american dude, 5’10” 185# with an athletic dad bod…i aint a testosterone pumping 50yo guy that looks like i want to be married to a 20yo.
